MY FOUNDATION
Dvä Aishà completed an Advanced Certificate in Natural Hair Care and Braiding at Marcella Ellis School of Cosmetic Arts. Over the years the Natural Hair & Braiding Certificate offered by the State of Maryland has been deregulated and Natural Hair Stylist is now regulated. Sadly issues like Traction Alopecia, a condition caused when the hair is pulled too tight taking out the hair root and the bulb, is the most common balding disorder among women with textured hair. She has research and developed a mastering technique to regrow and strengthen the natural hair. Ultimately, Dvä Aishà would like to assist the State of Maryland with creating a license that addresses the specific needs of the NATURAL HAIR Industry without the inapplicable training required with traditional cosmetology.

MY HISTORY
The catalyst for my natural hair journey started in the year of 1995, when the habit of relaxing my hair no longer fit with how I saw myself. My passion lead me to the early 1960’s, when females wore the hair natural UN-APOLOGETICALLY. This was a time before they had names like kinks, coils, twist outs, braids outs etc… these empress worked in professional environments, they were wives and mothers and were forced on natural beauty, healthy eating, and setting positive examples in their communities.

MY SPECIALITY
I specialize in CHEMICAL FREE hair care, creating modern, professional and edgy looks for those who wear their hair in it’s beautiful texture, braids, weaves, extensions or those who would like to stretch and silk out their natural hair.

MY VISION
It’s now been almost a decade since kinks, coils and bold textures were given a double take on the streets and in corporate America. As women (and men) we all have our stories and our journey’s on what has guided us to seek this path called “hair-life”.

Whether you’re in transition and want to wear protective styling with weaves and extensions, choose to loc, twist, braid, reduce frizz, define curls, or let it run free, I will help you achieve your goals with looking and feeling FABULOUS!
